Shooting a 9mm Mini-Gatling Gun [VIDEO]

The Gatling Gun was invented by Richard Gatling in 1861 and it the predecessor to modern-day machine guns. While it was occasionally used by the Union during the Civil War it saw the majority of its service during the Spanish-American War.

They did not have a long service time in the US Army they were soon replaced with other models that were truly automatic, such as the Maxum Machine gun or the M1895 Colt–Browning machine gun. However they are still part of history and have an awesome iconic look, so if you are interested in history the new model is worth checking out.

Tippman Armory created a mini-version of the original. It is about one-quarter of the size and instead of firing .30 caliber rounds this one is chambered in 9mm. It features eight rotating barrels and takes Glock magazines.

The gun is not cheap and will set you back $4,999.00 which includes shipping to an FFL dealer near you. It comes with one 27 round magazine but larger drum magazines are available for an additional cost. It also comes with a wheeled base so you can hook it up to your ATV.

Looking at Tippman’s Website they do not appear to be in stock, but they have the option to be notified when more are produced.

While this gun not really practical it is super cool and looks like a ton of fun to shoot and compared to the original $5K is a steal. An original sold at auction for over $200,000 back in 2019.
